Here are some of our common acrylic adhesion processes

The skill of acrylic bonding is also very important. The following is a brief analysis of our common bonding processes and their practical operation experience.

1. Butt joint: place two PMMA Plates to be butt joint horizontally on the operation platform, close them, and stick a tape on the bottom, leaving a gap no more than 0.3mm wide for the application of adhesive. Use a syringe to inject the adhesive from one side evenly and slowly into the gap until it is fully filled, and then remove the adhesive tape after it is completely cured.

2. Facade bonding: facade bonding is the most widely used bonding technology, which is widely used in the production of various plexiglass it digital display products. The surface to be bonded shall be wiped clean first. It is better to use the profiling to achieve the bonding, so that the bonding material does not shake, which is conducive to improving the bonding quality. The plexiglass board with a thickness of 3mm can be bonded by inserting fine wires and using capillary action to complete the bonding. The wires can be drawn out before the adhesive solidifies, or the adhesive tape can be used and then the adhesive can be applied.

3. Inclined plane bonding: the bonding inclined plane must use 90 degree angle and other profiling models to prevent the displacement of the glued surface. The adhesive shall be applied evenly and slowly. The profiling can only be removed after complete curing.

4. Plane bonding: plane bonding is a special bonding method. First, wipe the surface to be pasted clean, and place it horizontally, and inject proper amount of adhesive on it. Place one side of the other plexiglass plate obliquely on the plexiglass plate which is coated with the adhesive, then put it down evenly and slowly, and drive out the bubbles from one side to complete the bonding. Plexiglass adhesive can corrode the surface of plexiglass plate and leave traces that are difficult to eliminate. Therefore, the adhesive tape can be used to protect the parts that do not need to be bonded. Grease, dust or pores will prevent the uniform coating of the adhesive and leave bubbles. Excessive use of a small amount of adhesive will cause air to be brought in when the adhesive shrinks. Direct blowing will make the edge of the bonding surface white due to the volatilization of the adhesive. Indoor humidity, temperature and so on have a direct impact on the bonding of plexiglass board
