1. Acrylic plate is divided into casting plate and extrusion plate according to the production process, and can be divided into transparent plate, translucent plate (including dye plate transparent plate), color plate (including black and white and color plate); impact plate, UV plate, ordinary plate and special plate such as high impact plate, flame retardant plate, frosted plate, metal effect plate, high wear plate, light guide plate, etc. according to the performance.
A: Cast plate: high molecular weight, excellent rigidity, strength and chemical resistance. Therefore, it is more suitable to process large-scale signboards, and the time is slightly longer in the softening process. This kind of plate is characterized by small batch processing, incomparable flexibility in color system and surface texture effect, complete product specifications, and practical for various special purposes.
B: Extrusion plate: compared with cast plate, extrusion plate has lower molecular weight, weaker mechanical properties and higher flexibility. However, this feature is beneficial to bending and hot forming, and the softening time is short. In the treatment of large-scale plates, it is conducive to a variety of rapid vacuum molding. At the same time, the thickness tolerance of extrusion plate is smaller than that of casting plate. Due to the large-scale automatic production of extrusion plate, the color and specification are inconvenient to be adjusted, so the product specification diversity is limited.
2. Another kind of acrylic material regeneration plate is made of recycled acrylic leftover material, which is thermally degraded to obtain recycled MMA (methyl methacrylate) monomer, which is then obtained by chemical polymerization. After strict process, pure MMA monomer can be obtained again, which has no difference with the new synthetic monomer in quality. But the degradation monomer produced is not high in purity, and its quality and performance are very poor after the plate is formed.
Summary: the extrusion plate uses granular raw materials, which are extruded and formed after high-temperature dissolution, while the casting plate is directly cast and formed with MMA monomer (liquid). Although the shape of the extrusion plate is relatively flat and smooth, it can complete polymerization when the granular raw materials are formed. The structure and performance of the board are weak when it is processed, so it is not suitable for outdoor identification products, only for indoor products such as crystal characters or product brackets.
In addition, because most of the extruded plates do not have UV protection function, their outdoor service life is not the same as that of the cast plate, the color will gradually fade and it is easy to embrittle until it is cracked. Cast plate is a kind of structural polymerization in the process of plate processing, in which ultraviolet absorbers are added, which has extremely high strength and UV function. The outdoor service life is more than 5 years or even 10 years, and the color is always bright and fresh during the use.
